Irish Penal Reform Trust (IPRT) was delighted to be able to support hosting Corin Morgan-Armstrong to speak about his work at Invisible Walls (Wales), an initiative to provide support, guidance and tangible help to people in prison, who wanted to rebuild or retain their relationships with their children and loved ones in the community.

The event, supported by St Stephen’s Green Trust, The Childhood Development Initiative, and IPRT was titled ‘Family Friendly Criminal Justice: Models and Opportunities for Child Centred Practice’.

IPRT Executive Director, Saoirse Brady, and IPRT Children and Families Initiative Project Coordinator, Ashling Tobin, were inspired by the innovative work to support people in prison to maintain strong family relationships underpinned by child-friendly visiting. The evidence is overwhelming about how well it works for everyone involved.
