The book project steering group has met twice in the last two months to progress the book project led by children with parents in prison.

12 young people who have both their mother and father who have been or are currently in prison were reached out to. The interactive workshop of the book project with the children ran over 4 days during Easter (2-5 April). Read more about that here – Children with experience of parental imprisonment get creative.

From the back of the success of the first interactive workshop with the children, the book project steering committee is now looking at the possibility of extending this to children with parents in Shelton Abbey for a new phase in the summer.
